How to Survive a Zombie Attack…
With the increasing number of movies and TV shows related to zombies and zombie attacks, many people have wondered whether it is indeed possible to survive an attack, or what they normally call as an ‘apocalypse’. As what we see in TV shows, it may seem impossible to stay alive in the midst of a zombie infected land.
They say that it is very important to know your enemies in order to outlive them. Therefore, it is important to know what a zombie is made of, and what it is capable of doing. Basically, a zombie cannot think. They are slow, and easy to kill. All you need to do is to strike the head, turning off whatever control the brain has over its body. They do not think and they cannot plan on how to attack you.
However, when the zombies appear in myriads, they are simply powerful. A group of hungry zombies are so strong that they can destroy fences, bust a car down, and eat people alive as if they are eating chips. Also, they have a powerful sense of smell. Once they can sense that a living being is nearby, they can turn their attention to hunting that person.
Thus, the best way to fight a group of zombies is to organize a group of living beings, creating an army of thinking individuals. To survive a zombie attack, you need to make a plan. Also, you need to be determined to stay alive, or else you will see yourself transforming into a zombie before you know it. Get on the groove and prepare to get dirty! This also means that you need to prepare essential items needed for survival. Here are some of them:
1. A good pair of running shoes
Zombies walk slowly, but they can also act fast when they sense food nearby. Therefore, you need to prepare the best running shoes you have as you may need it all throughout the attack. You may also need these shoes if you need to sprint by a crowd of zombies in order to get food and other supplies from a local store. Running around barefoot is quite uncomfortable.
2. Energy bars
Getting in the midst of a zombie attack, you cannot expect a bountiful supply of food. You may get some along the way, but they may not provide you the energy you need to keep fighting. Having these energy bars might just do the trick. They are convenient, easy to bring, and still gives you the strength you need. Also, it does not mean that just because there’s an apocalypse, you’re just going to let go of a fiber rich diet.
3. Bats and other Headknockers
Face it. Nobody can tell how a zombie attack will last. You may be able to secure for yourselves a plenty supply of ammos but eventually you’ll run out of it. Thus, it is best to save your bullets and use bats or other forms of headknockers for close zombie contact. Don’t waste your bullets on a lonely walking zombie you meet in the street.
You’ll survive a few days without food, but not without water. Doctors tell us that we need to have at least eight glasses of water everyday, but since you need to use all your energy jumping, running, climbing, crying and shouting all the day, you may need more. Get yourself used to drinking from sources unheard of.
5. Leather Jacket
Compared to regular clothing, a leather jacket can give you extra protection from zombie scratches, which may also contaminate you. Therefore, get ready to open your closet and find your most comfortable leather jacket before the zombie attack happens.
This time, no government regulations will need you to bring a registered gun under your name. You simply have to pick one along the way and keep it for yourself. Then again, you may only have a limited number of bullets available, thus use head knocking alternatives instead.
Living during a zombie apocalypse is a literal ‘life endangering situation’. However, if you simply use your well designed brain to the full, to survive a zombie attack would simply mean outsmarting your no-brain enemies. When the apocalypse is over, another challenge is waiting your way
